Position Summary

Position plans and executes marketing for UCA Public Appearances which has a performing arts and educational series on the University of Central Arkansas Campus in Reynolds Performance Hall and the Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts. Position also manages financial processes and reporting. Also assists in development endeavors with sponsors, donors and grants.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Assist with season planning, sales strategies, and subscription package development.
  • Develop and oversee marketing campaigns, advertising, digital media, website content, and promotional materials for all events.
  • Manage social media, email marketing, online sales initiatives, and audience engagement efforts.
  • Coordinate community outreach, promotional events, and customer service initiatives to increase attendance and revenue.
  • Oversee sponsorship marketing opportunities, playbill advertising sales, and donor/event recognition materials.

Development & Donor Relations

  • Manage donor recognition programs, giving levels, and benefit fulfillment.
  • Maintain donor records and reports in collaboration with the UCA Foundation.
  • Coordinate donor communications, annual appeals, invitations, and hospitality events.

Finance & Administration

  • Develop and manage annual budgets for programming, marketing, technical operations, and box office activities.
  • Oversee event-related financial operations, including contracts, purchasing, payments, travel, and reporting.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, post-event analyses, grant reports, and ensure compliance with university policies and auditing procedures.
  • Supervise student workers and collaborate with staff on financial and operational planning.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor's degree preferred with experience in marketing, financial management, performing arts administration, special events, and graphic design, or a related field. Experience with ticketing systems, donor management software, budgeting, sponsorships is preferred. Candidates should possess strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, be self-motivated, able to speak in public and be available to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
