PROFILE:

As with other positions within this ministry, the Marketing Director is known for their strong Christian character. PRIMARY FUNCTION:

In coordination with VPMD, the Marketing Director oversees, directs, and manages Mentoring Alliance's annual marketing and advertising plan in multiple regions. This includes directing the workflow of all MA marketing efforts, developing and modifying marketing strategies to obtain high-impact results, and providing key metrics throughout the organization that assist with increased effectiveness of exceeding revenue, fundraising, and marketing goals. The Marketing Director provides godly leadership to the marketing team by providing direction, support, resources, and development necessary to thrive in their roles and achieve marketing outcomes.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Minister of the Gospel: 

The Marketing Director is first and foremost considered a Minister of the Gospel and supports Mentoring Alliance's religious mission by living as an example of Christ, sharing the Gospel, discipling and supporting kids and families in a biblically consistent manner, communicating the organization's beliefs and Statement of Faith, and leading or participating in distinctly Christian activities such as worship and staff chapel.

Management of Marketing Staff and Partners:

Provides day-to-day leadership, direction, and coaching to the marketing team while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-trust culture focused on excellence, innovation, and mission alignment. Leads and drives organization-wide marketing strategy across departments and regions, ensuring clear and streamlined communication internally. Coordinates with external vendors, consultants, and partners to expand marketing capacity and expertise, while overseeing content creation processes to maintain brand consistency and quality standards.

Marketing Operations and Campaign Management:

Oversees all digital, print, and multimedia marketing efforts, including social media, digital strategy, and website management. Leads programmatic marketing and enrollment efforts with Registration and Program teams to meet annual goals, while developing targeted strategies for donors, families, staff, and volunteer recruitment. Ensures brand consistency across all platforms and regions, and collaborates with the Events Director and Graphic Designer to create strong promotional materials and visual content.

Social Media & Digital Strategy & Website Management:

Oversees website strategy, content, and performance to ensure strong user experience, engagement, and conversions. Defines and tracks key digital KPIs through analytics and reporting, while optimizing SEO, paid search, and advertising performance. Leads monthly content planning and guides social media strategy, ensuring consistency, innovation, and measurable impact across all digital platforms.

Market Research & Analytics

Directs market research to support strategic planning, program growth, and geographic expansion. Conducts demographic analysis and partners with program teams to ensure targeted, effective outreach. Provides timely data insights across the organization to support informed decision-making and strong cross-departmental alignment.

Public Relations & Brand Stewardship

Serves as a steward of the Mentoring Alliance brand, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all channels. Supports the development of strategic media partnerships (TV, radio, print, and digital) to strengthen community presence while upholding brand standards and ensuring all assets reflect organizational values.

Performs additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Marketing and Development and/or President, including participation in committees, staff meetings, board meetings, and organizational events. Contributes to a strong culture of teamwork, alignment, transparency, trust, and collaboration, and completes assigned tasks, projects, and responsibilities as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required;

• Minimum of 5-7 years of proven management of marketing efforts of a nonprofit or related business required

• Proven experience in strategic marketing planning

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

• Experience leading a dynamic team in a fast-paced work environment required

• Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft and Google Suite, required

• A combination of analytical, process-oriented, and creative enthusiasm
