Position Purpose The Director of Marketing is responsible for accelerating organizational revenue through strategic marketing, brand development, demand generation, and data-driven customer acquisition. This leader develops and executes integrated marketing strategies that increase generate qualified leads, grow membership, increase consumer awareness, expand event participation, strengthen sponsorship value, and support new product commercialization. Success is measured by business growth and marketing ROI.
Primary Responsibilities· Develop and execute an enterprise-wide growth marketing strategy aligned with NARI's revenue goals and strategic plan.
· Lead, develop, and manage the marketing team, including direct supervision of assigned staff and oversight of external agencies, consultants, and creative vendors to ensure the timely, cost-effective delivery of high-quality marketing initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
· Create integrated marketing plans supporting membership, chapters, events, education, certifications, industry partners, advertising, and new products.
· Lead national brand strategy and consumer awareness initiatives.
· Develop demand generation programs including SEO/SEM, paid media, marketing automation, lead nurturing, and AI-enabled personalization.
· Identify, develop, and promote newsworthy organizational initiatives, industry insights, research, and member success stories through press releases, business wire distribution, and targeted media outreach to increase NARI's visibility, credibility, and industry influence.
· Lead consumer marketing campaigns that increase homeowner awareness of NARI and its members.
· Develop member acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, and win-back marketing campaigns.
· Market conferences, education, certification, webinars, and new products to maximize participation and revenue.
· Partner with business development to create sponsorship marketing assets and demonstrate sponsor ROI.
· Develop and monitor the annual marketing budget.
· Maintain accurate membership databases and generate reports on membership metrics, trends, and growth opportunities for senior management.
· Own website strategy, digital experience, analytics, and conversion optimization.
· Lead adoption of AI-enabled marketing tools and marketing innovation.
· Serve as staff liaison to the standing marketing & communications committee and others as required.
Performance Metrics· Increase qualified marketing leads.
· Increase website conversion rates and consumer website traffic.
· Increase member acquisition and event registrations.
· Increase sponsorship marketing-qualified leads.
· Improve marketing ROI through dashboard reporting.
Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field; Master's preferred.
· At least 10 years of experience in marketing and membership management, preferably within a national trade association, including at least 5 years in a marketing director role.
· Expertise in demand generation, digital marketing, brand strategy, marketing automation, CRM, analytics, AI-enabled marketing, and executive presentations.
· Association experience preferred; B2B/B2C growth marketing experience strongly preferred.
