Director of Nursing – Behavioral Health Services
Location: Greater Augusta / Central Savannah River Area (South Carolina)
Setting: Established Acute Care & Behavioral Health System
The Opportunity
Are you a visionary nurse leader looking for the perfect balance of local autonomy and corporate support? We are seeking a Director of Nursing (Behavioral Health) to lead our psychiatric nursing team within a premier 270+ bed acute care system.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Plan, implement, and coordinate nursing education, orientation, and retention initiatives.
- Quality & Compliance: Analyze and develop programs to improve patient outcomes and physician relations while ensuring full regulatory oversight.
- Mentorship: Serve as the primary leader for psychiatric nursing associates, fostering professional development and clinical excellence.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program. BSN required; Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred (candidates currently pursuing an MSN will be considered).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in healthcare, with a strong preference for nursing leadership and at least 5 years of management experience.
- Specialization: Strong background in Behavioral Health is essential.
- Licensure: Current South Carolina Nursing License (or compact) and CPR certification.
