Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at a well-established skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in the Tampa Bay Area.
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations and clinical programs.
Ensure quality resident care and positive clinical outcomes.
Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident-centered care.
Monitor quality measures, infection prevention initiatives, and risk management activities.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental budgets.
Support survey readiness and successful regulatory inspections.
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
Previous experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities.
Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Demonstrated success in improving clinical outcomes and maintaining regulatory compliance.
