Description
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the administrative and clinical aspects of Patient Care Services to include organizing, developing, directing and assuring the deliverance of cost effective, quality patient care. Ensures that patient care on clinical units is performed in accordance with established Hospital, State licensing, The Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory agency policies, procedures and standards. Responsible for the emergency management program to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and our continued readiness for disasters
Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
Develops unit and / or service line specific, Patient Care Programs, policies and procedures that describe how patient care needs or patient populations receiving care are assessed, evaluated and met.
Develops and implements the unit based plan for providing patient care to those requiring care.
Fosters a professional environment.
Markets and develops strategies to grow patient volume.
Implements an effective, ongoing program for Patient Care Services and Emergency Management
Qualifications for Internal Candidates
Education:
Required: Bachelor's Degree/BSN
Preferred: Advanced degree in health care related field
Experience:
Required: 2 years of experience in health care management and 2 years of experience working in the ER.
License:
Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida
