Our client is seeking a highly qualified Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the Operating Room. This role requires an experienced leader with a strong nursing background, proven supervisory skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, manage departmental operations, and support the organization's mission of excellence in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
Supervise nursing staff, ensuring optimal workflow and performance.
Oversee departmental budgeting and fiscal responsibilities.
Continuously assess and enhance the quality of care and services provided.
Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet organizational goals.
Manage timekeeping, supply orders, employee evaluations, and strategic planning.
Provide clinical support in wound care and hyperbaric therapy when needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license.
At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience.
Training in wound care and hyperbaric therapy from a nationally recognized provider (WOCN certification preferred).
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.
On-call availability as required.
