    Description

    **Job Summary:**
    We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to residents in our nursing home facility. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong clinical background, capable of overseeing the nursing department, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care. The Director of Nursing will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall quality of healthcare services and maintaining high standards of resident satisfaction.
     
    **Responsibilities:**
    1. **Clinical Leadership:**
       - Provide clinical oversight and leadership to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.
       - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans based on residents' individual needs.
     
    2. **Staff Management:**
       - Recruit, train, and supervise nursing personnel, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants.
       - Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional growth and development.
     
    3. **Regulatory Compliance:**
       - Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing nursing home facilities.
       - Stay informed about industry standards and best practices, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.
     
    4. **Quality Assurance:**
       - Develop and implement quality assurance programs to assess and enhance the overall quality of nursing care.
       - Conduct regular audits and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
     
    5. **Patient and Family Engagement:**
       - Establish effective communication channels with residents and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
       - Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall well-being and satisfaction of residents.
     
    6. **Education and Training:**
       - Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff to ensure competency and adherence to best practices.
       - Stay abreast of advancements in healthcare and implement relevant training programs.
     
    7. **Budget Management:**
       - Collaborate with the administrative team to develop and manage the nursing department budget.
       - Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.
     
    **Qualifications:**
    - Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license.
    - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred
    - Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursing home or long-term care setting.
    - Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in geriatric nursing.
    - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    - Ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced and challenging healthcare environment.
