    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and best practices in accordance with state, federal, and facility standards.
    • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
    • Manage staffing schedules to maintain appropriate coverage across all shifts.
    • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
    • Lead survey readiness efforts and maintain compliance with CMS and state regulations.
    • Conduct resident assessments and participate in care planning to meet individualized needs.
    • Provide staff education and professional development opportunities.
    • Manage budgets, resources, and department goals in alignment with facility objectives.
    • Serve as a liaison with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.

    Qualifications:

    • Current RN license in North Carolina.
    • Minimum 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in skilled nursing/long-term care.
    • In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations, including CMS guidelines.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated success in survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
