Type: Tribal Salary Range: Salary Negotiable Open Period: 10/2/2026 until filled Summary: The Tulalip Health System is seeking a highly motivated DIRECTOR OF NURSINIG (MSN) to be part of a comprehensive health and wellness system to care for the Tulalip Tribes'' indigenous population. The Tulalip Health System is comprised of multi-disciplinary teams to include, Ambulatory Care, Psychiatry, Behavioral Health& Recovery, Physical Therapy, Optometry, Dental, and Complementary Medicine (Naturopathy, Reiki, Bowen, Acupuncture and Massage Therapies). You will be part of be part of a health and wellness system that provides care in a culturally appropriate ways addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of each individual. We focus on the entire person, and have an integrative, patient-centered, multidisciplinary health team of dedicated professionals whose primary mission is to provide the best possible care to our tribal members and community. This position provides direct and comprehensive primary, preventative and therapeutic nursing leadership and care to individuals across the lifespan at the Tulalip Health System serving the Tulalip Tribes and their community.

Primary Duties include but not limited to: 1. Will co-manage the health system accreditation process with the THS Medical Director, Dental Director, and THS Practice Manager. 2. Provides overall nursing leadership, support and training for all clinical departments within the THS. 3. Reviews primary care clinical nursing practice and ensure procedure proficiencies are within nursing scope of care. 4. Provides case management training and oversight, focusing on continuity of care to THS beneficiaries. 5. Provides Community Health nursing guidance regarding procedures and processes, ensuring the nursing practices are within Community Health scope of care. 6. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization''s policies and applicable laws and regulations for assigned staff. 7. Provides sponsorship, practice, and competency oversight for THS nursing staff. 8. Evaluates the practice of healthcare delivery to reflect current evidence-based standards of clinical practice. 9. Participates in The Tulalip Tribe''s quality improvement and medical planning activities. 10. Serves as the primary liaison for surveys or inspections made by authorized federal, state, and/or local governments as required. 11. Oversees accreditation, compliance and conduct regular surveys of health system operations. 12. Chairs THS Quality Improvement Committee. 13. Evaluates patient care through ongoing quality assurance and safety programs that identify problems and makes recommendations for resolution. 14. Conducts compliance investigations related to clinical, quality, and/or patient complaints, including root cause analysis and issue resolution based on findings. 15. Leverages professional medical and/or advanced practice nursing knowledge and skills and analyzes information to make decisions and recommendations based on current best practice standards of care. 16. Occasionally provides direct patient care for Tulalip Members and other American Indians/Alaska Natives within Snohomish County. 17. Observes strict patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA and any other confidentiality/privacy regulations. 18. Develops an effective team to achieve department goals in line with the Tulalip Tribes Mission, Visiolve problems. Qualifications: Education and Certification Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BNS). • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred • Ten (10) years of experience working as a Registered Nurse. • Five (7) years of leadership in a healthcare environment. • Five (7) years of experience in healthcare quality, accreditation, and compliance or a combination of. • Three (3) years of experience coordinating and managing patients with multiple complex chronic medical conditions. • Experience in making decisions relative to consultation with members of medical and institutional staff and matrix reporting structure. • Experience with evaluating patient care through an ongoing quality assurance program, that identifies problems and resolution. • Experience working with diverse cultures, specifically Native Americans.
