Director of Nursing

A respected senior living community in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide strategic clinical leadership and ensure the highest standards of resident care. Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services and clinical operations
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff while fostering a positive, accountable culture
• Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and clinical documentation
• Monitor quality indicators and implement performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with executive leadership and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental budgets
• Promote resident safety, satisfaction, and clinical excellence throughout the community

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure
• Progressive nursing leadership experience within senior living, long-term care, skilled nursing, or post-acute care
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing clinical teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to delivering exceptional resident-centered care
