Summary:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing the delivery of nursing care across the inpatient campus, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a high-quality care environment. In partnership with the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director holds primary responsibility for 24/7 nursing care delivery, maintaining oversight and accountability for nursing staff within inpatient behavioral health settings. This leadership role involves collaborating with nursing staff, inpatient leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans that meet the needs of patients. The Director offers guidance, supervision, and support to nursing leaders and staff, including mental health technicians (MHTs), while overseeing the scheduling team to ensure adequate staffing levels. The Director leads initiatives to improve patient care quality, ensures compliance with organizational policies and best practices, and plays a key role in staff development, incident management, and fostering a culture of compassion and accountability across all inpatient behavioral health services.
