We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (RN) – Emergency Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for a high-performing Emergency Department.
The Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Emergency Services operations, including clinical quality, patient safety, staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong Emergency Department leadership experience, proven team-building capabilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

This leader will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing leadership, ancillary departments, and executive leadership to ensure excellence in patient outcomes and operational performance.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Licensure & Certifications

• Current Alabama RN License or eligibility for Alabama licensure.
• BLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required (or obtained within employer-defined timeframe).
• Clean nursing license with no disciplinary actions or sanctions.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Emergency Services.
• Demonstrated Emergency Department nursing leadership experience.
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Strong analytical and performance improvement experience.
• Experience interpreting operational and quality metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Director-level Emergency Department leadership experience.
• Experience within large acute-care hospitals.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Strong Emergency Room operational management background.
• Experience leading quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
