Position Summary:

The Director of Operations, Adena Fairfield Medical Center is responsible for operational performance, financial management, alignment with and support of system service lines, growth, guidance and direction setting, communication throughout assigned areas, and strategic planning for their assigned departments which include: Imagining, Lab, Respiratory therapy, Cardiac rehab, Pulmonary Fitness, Rehabilitation and Inpatient Wound services. The Director of Operations is responsible for compliance with health system policies, applicable laws and regulations, and accreditation standards. Makes decisions independently and/or in collaboration with the site leadership, puts in place processes necessary to support, and facilitates the successful operations of assigned departments. Management of confidential financial, patient, and human resource information is required. Direct patient care is not required.

Job Specific Essential Functions

• Participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs in the applicable region as a business partner.
• Develops relationships with Peer leaders, senior leaders and providers across the health system to establish processes to enhance the business growth and planning in the applicable region.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate analyses of budget, project implementation, and operation effectiveness in the Adena Fairfield Medical Center departments.
• Continually investigates and introduces process improvement measures to enhance quality improvement.
• Establish and lead facility committees to foster growth, quality, and continued compliance with regulatory guidelines such as Quality Collaborative Team, Continuous Survey Readiness, Service Excellence, and Caregiver Engagement. Participates in system committee to align initiatives and leverage resources for the betterment of the health system.
• Maximize efficiency and productivity through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Develop, implement, and monitor operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and barriers.
• Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Educational Degree: Bachelor's Degree

Major/Area of Concentration: Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related clinical background

Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related clinical background

Required Experience: 5-7 years of management experience in a hospital or other healthcare setting, including experience in budgeting and financial management, program planning and implementation, human resources management, and quality management/process improvement.

Job Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Working knowledge of accrediting and regulatory organizations (Joint Commission, CMS, CAP/CLIA, ODH, local health department, Radiation Safety, etc.)
