The Director, Resource Management Center (RMC) Operations must lead the vision of "From Health Care to Health" by forging strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Resource Management Center, and in the UCHealth nursing and operations departments.

The Director, Resource Management Center Operations has responsibility for strategic workforce planning and operational excellence. The Director, RMC Operations provides enterprise-level leadership and oversight for designated operational areas and affiliated entities. This position is accountable for driving operational excellence, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and delivering high-quality healthcare services while advancing strategic priorities in alignment with the health system''s mission, vision, and values.

The Director, Resource Management Center Operations is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for ambulatory recruitment, scheduling and timekeeping specialists, and the development and oversight of an enterprise Operations Float Pool. This role partners with operational leaders to optimize workforce resources, improve service delivery, and drive operational excellence across UCHealth.

Directs the department''s activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, vision, values, and objectives of the department and organization. Focuses on operational excellence, efficiency, and patient experience in clinical and non-clinical operations

Key Responsibilities

The Director, Resource Management Center Operations plays a key role in the health system''s strategic and operational efforts by:

Responsibilities:

  • Direct enterprise operations for the Operations Float Pool, ambulatory ancillary recruitment, scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll support services to ensure efficient, standardized workforce operations across the health system.
  • Develop and execute workforce strategies that improve staffing effectiveness, workforce flexibility, enhance the caregiver experience, and support safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Provide operational and financial oversight for labor budgets, productivity, premium labor utilization, and workforce analytics, using data-driven insights to improve performance, achieve organizational goals, and ensure responsible financial stewardship.
  • Lead high-performing teams and oversee workforce technology, process improvement, and operational initiatives that enhance customer service, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the strategic expansion of the enterprise Operations Float Pool by partnering with operational leaders to identify workforce needs, develop scalable staffing models, and improve staffing flexibility, coverage, and resource optimization across multiple departments and locations.
  • Provide strategic oversight of ambulatory and UCHealth Medical Group positions, partnering with operational leaders and Talent Acquisition to attract, assess, and hire highly qualified candidates while improving time-to-fill, reducing vacancies, and supporting workforce planning initiatives.

Candidate Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor''s degree in related field.
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare operations
