Description
Director of Operations – El Segundo, CA
- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership across property operations, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance, and collections.
- Preparation of annual operating plans and budgets.
- Set revenue targets and ensure execution against portfolio objectives.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and expense reduction.
- Lead and oversee value-add initiatives, including interior renovations and common area upgrades.
- Oversee all aspects of staff leadership including recruitment, onboarding, training, development, performance management, and retention.
- Monitor compliance with Operations and Accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Marketing, Legal, Technology, and other departments.
- Strategic operational leadership with strong business acumen
- Exceptional customer service and resident-focused mindset
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comp: $150-175K + bonus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred OR equivalent experience (10+ years in property management).
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in multifamily operations or portfolio management.
- 5+ years in a people management role leading multi-site teams.
- Demonstrated track record of P&L ownership and financial accountability.
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- High level of computer literacy and comfort leveraging technology in operations.
- Yardi Systems (Voyager 8, Yardi Forecast, CRM IQ, RentCafe, etc.)
- Learning Management System software (Aspire, Grace Hill, etc.)
- Payables Systems – Avid / Yardi Smart AP
