Mercy Hospital Ardmore is seeking a dynamic cardiovascular leader for a high-impact role with significant growth potential. This position partners closely with physicians and Oklahoma Heart Hospital (OHH) to support a growing cardiovascular service line, including the expansion to two Cath Labs and the growth of a dedicated Cath Lab team. Responsibilities include physician relations, business development, strategic alignment, and operational leadership across inpatient and outpatient services, including the Heart & Vascular Clinic, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Sonography, stress testing, and echo services, with a focus on improving efficiency and productivity. Long term, this role offers the opportunity to expand into a regional Southern Oklahoma cardiovascular leadership position, with potential oversight of Cardiac Rehab and continued service line growth.

The Director of Operations is also responsible for overseeing the operations of hospitals and/or clinics, ensuring efficient service delivery and promoting a collaborative work environment. Key duties include implementing strategic plans, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, and enhancing patient experience.

The role involves tracking performance, reporting, and driving process improvements, all aligned with Mercy's mission and vision.

Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years' experience demonstrating capabilities and success applicable to the role. Demonstrated experience may be gained from prior operational management and/or leadership roles, through completion of college degrees, or a combination of applicable professional and educational experiences.

Skills, Knowledge Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strategic and analytical skills

  • Financial acumen and budget management

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance

  • Ability to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiencies

  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare operations and patient-centered care practices

  • Knowledge of resource management and continuous improvement methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, operations management, healthcare administration, or a related field.

Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in healthcare operations management. Proven track record in managing complex operations and leading teams to success.
