Director of Operations Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami

Position Summary

Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami is seeking an experienced, hands-on, and results-driven Director of Operations to lead daily hotel operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, this role oversees key operational departments, drives financial performance, develops high-performing teams, and ensures Hyatt brand standards are consistently achieved.

What You'll Do

• Lead and oversee hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office.
• Drive guest satisfaction and service excellence across all departments.
• Develop, coach, and support department leaders to achieve operational goals.
• Monitor labor, productivity, and operating expenses to maximize profitability.
• Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies to meet financial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt standards and all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Applicants must have at least 2 years in their current leadership role to be considered. 
• Previous experience as a Director of Operations, Assistant General Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Rooms Division and Food & Beverage operations.
• Proven financial management and budgeting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Hyatt, lifestyle, or luxury hotel experience is a plus.
