UCSI Global, Inc. is seeking an experienced, growth-minded executive to serve as our Director of Operations. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership, financial oversight, and operational direction for a nationwide portfolio of government and commercial contracts. As a core member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), you will partner closely with Growth, HR, and Finance departments to ensure operational readiness, scalable execution, and exceptional service delivery throughout the entire contract lifecycle—from capture planning through contract closeout and re-compete. Strategic Leadership: Serve as the senior operational advisor to the executive team; develop and execute enterprise-wide operational strategies to support national expansion and build scalable systems.
Portfolio Governance: Direct and oversee a nationwide portfolio of large-scale Facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Total Facilities Management (TFM), and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contracts.
Financial & Performance Acumen: Plan, forecast, and manage operational budgets, P&Ls, pricing models, labor productivity, and equipment allocations to achieve corporate financial objectives. Develop, implement, and maintain scalable pricing models that accurately account for operational costs, overhead, and desired profit margins
Operational Excellence: Standardize department SOPs, site inspections (GoAudits), quality assurance workflows, and corrective actions; leverage digital toolsets to drive data-informed decision-making.
Team & Talent Development: Direct the scheduling, training, and performance evaluation workflows for regional managers, supervisors, and site staff; establish proactive succession plans and improve retention.
Growth & Mobilization Support: Partner with Business Development and Proposal teams to support capture, pricing reviews, transition planning, and mobilization excellence; track and report operational KPIs (gross margin, staffing fill rates, CPARS).
Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to contractual requirements, subcontractor agreements, federal procurement rules, FAR, OSHA, labor regulations, and CMMC/cybersecurity awareness.
Education: Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent executive-level experience).
Executive Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive executive leadership experience managing multi-site government or commercial operations.
Financial Management: Proven experience directly managing multi-million-dollar operational budgets, corporate P&Ls, and complex pricing models.
Technical Systems Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing integrated building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, custodial, grounds maintenance, and building automation systems (BAS).
Project & Facility Management: PMP, CFM, FMP, SFP, RPA, FMA, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
Technical & Safety: Certified Energy Manager (CEM), CPMM, CPE, LEED AP O+M, OSHA 30, EM 385-1-1, EPA Universal Certification, or CIMS-GB.
Digital Platforms: Familiarity with modern CMMS/BAS platforms (e.g., Maximo, Archibus, Planon, TRIRIGA, Power BI, or Metasys).
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and inspect diverse operational facilities (industrial, healthcare, construction, corporate, and government) for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain any required federal security credentials, badging, or clearances.
