The Director of Operations provides leadership, direction, and strategic oversight for manufacturing operations within a highly regulated medical device environment. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, developing high-performing teams, improving efficiency, and ensuring the successful execution of site objectives related to quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

Description
- Lead overall manufacturing operations and site performance
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, and capacity
- Oversee production, engineering, warehouse, and inventory management functions
- Establish performance metrics and accountability measures
- Ensure facilities, equipment, and processes support efficient operations
- Improve lead times, productivity, and manufacturing performance
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales teams
- Support short- and long-term business planning initiatives
- Lead capacity planning and resource optimization efforts
- Develop high-performing teams through coaching and mentorship
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, safety, and compliance
- Support customer requirements and strategic growth initiatives
- Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO, and regulatory standards

Profile
A successful Director of Operations should have:
- BS in Engineering strongly preferred
- 8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience in precision machining or metals manufacturing environments
- Background in aerospace, automotive, nuclear, or other regulated industries a plus
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of capacity planning, logistics, and production management
- Experience managing operational budgets and business performance metrics
- Knowledge of FDA GMP, ISO 13485, and regulated manufacturing requirements
- Six Sigma Green Belt, and/or Lean Manufacturing expertise preferred
- Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strategic thinker with strong business and operational acumen
