On Site Only!

We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Operations to oversee and lead field operations across multiple programs and project teams. This leadership role is responsible for operational excellence, workforce development, safety compliance, budget accountability, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful project execution and organizational growth.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong communication skills, field operations experience, and the ability to manage teams, processes, and resources in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee field leadership teams, including Field Supervisors, Foremen, and site leads
  • Manage and support the development, responsibilities, and performance of Field Supervisors
  • Foster collaboration, cross-team learning, and continuous training opportunities
  • Coordinate with Human Resources, Safety, and Operations teams to identify and implement required training programs
  • Communicate directly with Program Directors regarding project needs, assignments, staffing, and budget accountability
  • Partner with Human Resources to support field staffing strategies and hiring initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Safety Director to execute and maintain company safety programs, including:
    • Site Safety Plans
    • Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
    • Superintendent safety responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact and first responder during site emergencies; coordinate with Superintendents and Safety leadership to implement appropriate response actions
  • Assess, analyze, and maintain accountability for operational budgets
  • Manage company warehouses, tools, equipment, and operational assets across programs
  • Oversee corporate purchasing responsibilities and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for field teams
  • Support project teams in meeting quality standards and project deadlines
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, designers, subcontractors, and partners
  • Promote professionalism, teamwork, and effective conflict resolution throughout the organization
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations management, telecommunications, construction, utility, or related field operations
  • Strong leadership and team development experience
  • Knowledge of field safety standards and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing budgets, purchasing, and operational logistics
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with operational reporting and project management tools preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading large field teams across multiple locations
  • Familiarity with telecommunications infrastructure projects
  • OSHA or safety-related certifications are a plus
  • Strong understanding of warehouse and equipment management
