What You'll Do
The Director of Organizational Development is responsible for establishing and sustaining organizational development strategies for Adena Health System. The central goal/focus of the Director is to provide the strategy and support to enhance the talent of the organization that will result in accomplishing business goals. The Director is responsible for: advancing leadership development, change leadership, organizational culture, employee engagement, performance management, talent management, and learning management efforts. The Director will partner with the Chief Human Resource Officer, senior executives, and mid-level leaders to ensure alignment of organizational development programs and initiatives are designed to further system priorities and result-oriented outcomes. The Director will serve as a strategic partner to Adena Health leaders to develop process and facilitate organizational change.
Required Educational Degree:Bachelor''s Degree Major/Area of Concentration:Business or Organizational Development
Preferred Education: Advanced degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, and/or Organizational Behavior
Preferred Certifications, ICP (ACC or PCC) certification; PHR/SPHR certification Required Experience: 7-10 years experience in related work; 5-7 years leadership/supervisory
Preferred Experience:Healthcare experience
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requires very strong interpersonal and EQ skills. Possess the ability to work collaboratively with all areas of the organization from individual contributor to the executive. Excellent analytical skills; ability to solve complex problems in a structured way, applying critical thinking. Solid written and verbal communication skills to multiple audiences, including various levels of management. Engaging public speaker and developer of people. Possess strong leadership and influential people skills. Ability to maintain formal and on-the-spot coaching relationships with leaders at all levels. Ability to make independent decisions based on knowledge and expertise. Work under pressure while managing multiple high priority demands. Facilitate multi-rater assessment and feedback sessions. Must be inquisitive and creative. Provide a proven track record with change management. Manages and created Organizational Development (OD) strategies and processes to meet needs of organization.
Conducts assessments and uses data to provide consultation or interventions that will close gaps from current to desired future state.
Provides leadership to internal OD Specialists and Consultants that further develops engagement and supports Adena''s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities
Leads succession and talent management activities including Talent Reviews, Development Planning and Succession Management.
Ensures strategic organizational alignment with HR, Talent Management and Culture
Effectively manages resources including people, projects, budgets and timelines.
Responsible for crafting the performance management strategy while collaborating with HRBPs in regards to operational support.
Serve as internal/executive leadership coach and responsible for managing internal/external coaching program/resources.
Ensures the development of people through programs such as New Adena Caregiver/Leader Orientations, Just Culture, Adena Essentials, Leadership Development Institutes, Emerging Leader Programs, New Leader integration,etc
