Location: Position is based in New York City and will require regular travel to Long Island, Mid-Hudson Valley, Albany, and occasional travel to other parts of New York State.

Position Description
The Director of Organizing and Strategy, will supervise and support immigration advocacy efforts with a focus in New York City, Hudson Valley on both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The Director will liaise with members and allied groups to advance the rights of immigrants in affected communities and will serve as the NYIC representative.
The Director will work closely with the NYIC organizing and strategy team that cover NYC, Long Island and the Hudson Valley to grow the NYIC's presence in the regions, deepen the engagement of NYIC member organizations and partners in NYIC initiatives, expand the network of NYIC members and partners, and build the political power of immigrant communities, the organizations who serve them, and the NYIC. They will lead our efforts to mobilize member and partner organizations, lead NYIC advocacy efforts and serve as a link to key resources for member agencies.
