This is a highly confidential leadership opportunity with a well-established regional healthcare organization known for its patient-centered culture and dedication to clinical excellence. The Director will oversee both Intensive Care and Medical-Surgical departments, driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and staff engagement. (21 Beds)
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for the ICU and Med-Surg units, ensuring high-quality, safe, and compassionate patient care.
Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, and hospital executives to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing models, and capital equipment planning.
Establish and maintain clinical and operational policies that support regulatory compliance and best practices.
Recruit, develop, and mentor nursing and support staff, promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth.
Lead continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and team performance.
Serve as a clinical and managerial resource for multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital.
Oversee staff education, orientation, and performance management processes to ensure clinical competence and engagement.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive nursing leadership experience within acute care (ICU and/or Med-Surg) required.
Active RN license in the state of employment required.
Current BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in managing budgets, staffing models, and clinical operations.
Proven ability to lead teams through change, improve outcomes, and foster strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
