As a Director of Pharmacy you will lead all aspects of pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and supervising services in alignment with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with hospital leadership to implement innovative pharmacy practices, supported by proprietary CPS software, a dedicated support team including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory as well as a CPS Area Director or Senior Vice President.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage hospital pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely medication distribution
  • Supervise, coach, and develop pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and interns
  • Oversee medication safety and quality initiatives, reducing errors and improving patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission, USP, and state/federal laws
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and purchasing, controlling costs while maintaining service levels
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and organizational goals
  • Implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and accountability

Required Qualifications:

  • ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred)
  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience as a pharmacist in an acute care hospital setting
  • 2+ years of pharmacy management experience working in an acute care hospital setting
  • Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with professional organizations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program
  • 3+ years of pharmacy management experience working in an acute care hospital setting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
