Role Overview
We are seeking an engineering leader with at least 10 years of experience in piping layout and engineering, coupled with an active Professional Engineering (PE) license. This role is crucial for overseeing departmental safety, financial management, technical quality, and staff development. The ideal candidate will drive project execution, ensure client satisfaction, and contribute to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety: Cultivate a work environment that prioritizes safety, perform regular safety audits, and lead safety meetings.
- Financial Management: Manage project budgets, oversee invoicing processes, and ensure budget adherence.
- Human Resources: Address performance concerns, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and recommend raises.
- Planning and Supervision: Lead departmental meetings, manage staff assignments, and ensure project schedules are met.
- Quality and Technical Oversight: Prepare calculations, manage projects, and provide technical guidance and training.
- Business Development: Engage in networking, solicit client feedback, and ensure prompt communication with clients.
Requirements
- Active Professional Engineering license in good standing.
- BS Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Piping Layout and Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire for professional development and mentorship.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Primarily office-based role with occasional fieldwork.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
