Director of Planning & Information Management

Aurora Location: The Director of Planning & Information Management leads Health Department efforts related to community health assessment & health improvement planning processes, quality improvement and accreditation activities, emergency planning & response and the collection, analysis and presentation of health-related data. The Health Department is looking to expand and modernize epidemiological efforts and seeks a candidate that has the skills and background to lead the team doing this work. A background in epidemiology is preferred.

This role supports population health in Kane County by providing leadership to and overseeing daily operations, providing technical assistance and fiscal management, and facilitating collaboration for cross-cutting activities and initiatives with a diverse team of public health professionals. Services are provided routinely during normal business hours and occur on weekends and evenings as needed. Responsibilities include executive leadership to ensure that operational plans, policies and procedures are consistent with the overall Health Department goals and objectives.

Requirements:

• Master"s degree in public health, public health nursing, public health administration, or related field.

• Minimum five (5) years of full-time leadership and progressively responsible public health management experience
