The Director of Procurement will play a key role in ensuring purchasing decisions are cost-effective, compliant, well-documented, and aligned with both patient care and organizational priorities.

Job Details

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement strategic procurement policies and procedures that align with the company's goals and objectives.
2. Lead, manage, and oversee the procurement department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
3. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring the best value for money, quality, and timely delivery.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
5. Manage risks associated with supply chain and procurement processes.
6. Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and procurement metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
8. Collaborate with other departments to identify needs and specifications for goods and services.
9. Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
10. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, contract administration, or vendor management.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and purchasing processes.
  • Experience with RFPs, bids, quotes, purchase orders, and vendor evaluations.
  • Strong understanding of budgets, contracts, pricing, and internal controls.
  • Strong Excel, reporting, and data analysis skills.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CFCM (Certified Federal Contracts Manager), or CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance) preferred
  • Knowledge of HRSA, 2 CFR 200 requirements and federal grant procurement preferred
