Mikayla’s Voice is a nonprofit organization that provides inclusive programs in the arts, education, and sports. Current program priorities include the Wheels of Friendship® art program, Kaya’s Kaleidoscope art projects, and school-based mentor programming for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. These programs support children as they serve as ambassadors for the organization’s message, mission, and commitment to inclusion.

The Director of Programs is responsible for the delivery, coordination, and expansion of assigned programs. These programs showcase children’s talents and creativity while promoting successful inclusion as children work, play, and learn together. This position serves as a key voice and community ambassador for the organization’s mission, ensuring that the mission is advanced through innovative programming, strategic planning, and community outreach.

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Exempt
  • Hybrid schedule (2 days in the office, 3 days remote)
  • $65,000 per year

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure the mission is advanced through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and oversee all programming
  • Assist with the development of brand identity, marketing materials, social media and web content
  • Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality plan and related quality initiatives
  • Use data analysis to inform decision-making and improve program and organizational management
  • Recommend and implement programmatic or procedural changes to improve service delivery
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including funding sources, elected and appointed officials, partner organizations, people using services, and their families
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on active programs in advance of Board meetings and as required by funders
  • Develop program budgets and oversee fiscal management for assigned budgets
  • Coordinate and seek donations to help reduce program expenses
  • Lead service line development and new program expansion activities
  • Assist with the preparation of program grants

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of disability rights advocacy, budget management, and strong organizational practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read, understand, and apply written information
  • Comfort using computers and learning new software or online systems
  • Valid driver’s license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications
