DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking a Director of Public Affairs to work in our Charlotte office.

What You’ll Do:

This position will work with the Managing Director and the other Directors to perform and/or assist with research, analysis, legislative monitoring, and lobbying.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree is required; Political Science or a related field is preferred.
• Must have 7-10 years of experience in federal or state government, government relations, and/or political campaign work.
• Excellent project management and interpersonal communication skills with outstanding writing, proofreading and oral communications skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required.
• Must possess a valid and current driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

• The work is primarily sedentary.
• It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.
