Director of QA/QC
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Compensation: $170,000–$200,000 annually

About the Role
We are partnering with an established, institutionally backed industrial services organization seeking a Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) in Atlanta, Georgia.
The organization self-performs the full lifecycle of heavy industrial work across electrical, mechanical, structural, soft crafts, underground utilities, fabrication, and inspection. As the platform scales, this person will help strengthen the quality standards, processes, and team capabilities that support consistent project delivery.
This leader will oversee quality assurance and quality control for mission-critical electrical and industrial projects, ensuring deliverables meet established standards, project specifications, and compliance requirements. The role partners closely with project teams to lead inspections, audits, documentation, and corrective actions while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
Quality Standards & Compliance
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures for electrical systems, high-voltage installations, and industrial infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain project quality plans aligned with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and project quality expectations.
- Identify non-conformances, coordinate corrective actions, and verify that issues are resolved promptly.
Project Partnership & Documentation
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and support consistent execution.
- Maintain complete QA/QC documentation, including inspection records, non-conformance reports, and project quality plans.
- Communicate quality findings, corrective actions, and performance trends clearly to project teams and leadership.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Supervise and train QA/QC staff, reinforcing safety, precision, and accountability for quality performance.
- Analyze quality data to identify recurring issues, performance trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend process improvements and support strategic quality initiatives across projects.
- Develop a high-performing QA/QC team through coaching, clear expectations, and ongoing professional development.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least eight years of experience in QA/QC management, particularly within electrical contracting, energy, or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control practices for high-voltage systems and industrial infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of applicable National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
- Familiarity with Procore, Microsoft Project, and Accubid for quality and project management.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate quality data into practical improvements.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and subcontractors.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 30, NFPA 70E training, or equivalent safety credentials.
- Quality management credentials or training, such as Six Sigma or ISO 9001.
