    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Under the direction of the Vice President of Quality Management:

    • Assists with the development, implementation and review of organizational performance improvement plans, quality and infection control initiatives and hospital strategic goals.
    • Assists with the policies and procedures to support successful quality outcomes and ongoing improvement in the delivery of healthcare to patients.
    • Facilitates process improvement efforts among PI teams, Medical Staff, and hospital departments; responsible for hospital accreditation and regulatory programs.
    • Provides education to key hospital staff related to Federal, State and regulatory agencies (such as Joint Commission, CMS, TDH, OSHA, etc.).
    • Coordinates quality indicator development, data abstraction, retrieval and analysis, and the clinical review screening and referral of cases to Medical Staff Committees for departmental peer review and improvement processes.
    • Assists Risk Management with the facilitation, investigation and follow up of RCA, Occurrences and Sentinel events.
    • Responsible for data abstraction and concurrent review processes and/or inter-rater reliability testing in core measure processes and projects.
    • Serves as a resource for the department in Quality and PI functions.
    • Provides routine and standardized data analysis and compiling of reports.
    • In collaboration with the VP, objectively reviews Quality Resources staff performance and PI opportunities for the quality management services delivered by the department.
    • Assists VP of Quality and organization with project management, teaching, coaching, and facilitating related to performance improvement, regulatory compliance and survey readiness based on the hospital mission, vision and facility goals.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Texas State RN license or compact license.
    • Certified in Risk Management, CPHQ or other quality certification preferred.
