Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Director of Recruitment provides strategic leadership for the development and execution of data-driven enrollment initiatives focused on online and non-traditional student populations. This role oversees the Central enrollment services team, including regional admissions and recruitment staff, and is responsible for coaching, performance management, and aligning team efforts with institutional enrollment goals.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 5 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences. Demonstrated ability to leverage data management and analysis to inform decision-making, track recruitment performance, and improve enrollment outcomes. Strong motivational and sales-oriented mindset with keen attention to detail.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, analyze priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Proven ability to interpret and utilize data from CRM systems, relational databases, and reporting tools (including Excel) to develop insights, guide strategy, and enhance recruitment effectiveness.

Ability to build relationships with a diverse population of prospective students with tact, diplomacy, and discretion. Knowledge of the admissions process required, with related experience in a college or university setting preferred. Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and database systems.

Capable of standing for extended periods and managing large volumes of recruitment materials. Energetic, creative, and outgoing, with a demonstrated ability to plan and execute events and achieve measurable results in a performance-driven environment.

Job Duty

Direct, develop, and implement data-driven recruitment and enrollment strategies to achieve USC Palmetto College enrollment goals, including analysis of enrollment data, market trends, and pipeline performance, while guiding and supporting recruitment staff to ensure effective execution and continuous improvement.

Develop, implement, and evaluate data-informed recruitment plans for central- and campus-based admissions representatives, using performance metrics and market analysis to guide strategy, optimize outreach efforts, and improve enrollment outcomes.

Build and expand a statewide network of education, business, and industry partners to increase awareness of Palmetto College's online and degree completion pathways, cultivating strategic relationships, networking, and outreach. Collaborate closely with the Director of Corporate and Community Engagement to develop and sustain partnerships that create new enrollment pipelines, leveraging data and market insights to target opportunities, strengthen engagement, and increase participation and credential attainment.

Ensure communication with prospective online and non-traditional students is timely, accurate, and student-centered. Work to oversee and optimize CRM-driven communications and workflows. Utilize data and system insights to monitor effectiveness, improve engagement strategies, and maintain efficient, responsive outreach throughout the enrollment process.

Provide regular reports analyzing recruitment and enrollment trends, performance metrics, and pipeline forecasts, using data insights to inform strategy, guide decision-making, and support continuous improvement in enrollment outcomes.

Develop and lead recruitment staff through ongoing coaching, performance evaluation, and professional development aligned with data-driven enrollment goals. Stay current on emerging trends in online and non-traditional student recruitment, as well as institutional, state, and federal policies, integrating best practices into team training and strategic execution.
