Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department
- Lead and support therapy staff including PTAs, COTAs, and therapists
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Manage productivity standards and departmental performance
- Coordinate patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor documentation accuracy and timely completion
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and therapy program development
- Maintain high standards for patient outcomes and customer satisfaction
- Provide mentorship and leadership to rehabilitation staff
- Support census development and program growth initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active South Dakota PTA or COTA license in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of rehabilitation leadership experience required
- Previous Director of Rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and rehab regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
Education & Certification Requirements
- Associate Degree from an accredited PTA or COTA program
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation preferred
