Description
Position Summary:
The Director of Rehab Services leads the daily operations, clinical excellence, and strategic growth of Baptist Health Princeton Hospital's Rehabilitation Services department.
Responsibilities:
Oversees rehabilitation operations, ensuring appropriateness of resources, personnel, and interdepartmental objectives.
Demonstrates the ability to monitor all rehabilitation evaluation and treatment within professional practice standards, to ensure the delivery of quality and cost-effective services within an inpatient or outpatient setting.
Works with Administration and Managers to develop and enforce departmental policies, procedures, competencies, and standards of performance which effectively integrate with other services to provide a continuum of care.
Assures regulatory and accrediting compliance for all applicable corporate areas of Rehab services.
Develops and executes business plans to address the strategic goals of the organization.
Is accountable for financial and regulatory issues.
Develops operational strategies to achieve cost-effective delivery of care by assisting with the development of realistic budgets, rational capital budget requests and support for management training in the delivery of cost-effective rehabilitative care.
Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Baptist Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Baptist Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a rehabilitation field.
Licensure/Certification
Current license in the State of Alabama as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Audiologist or Speech Language Pathologist
If, Speech Language Pathologist, must also have current Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Experience
Five (5) years’ of related experience to include two years of supervisory or management experience within a rehabilitation setting.
