Cheraw Post Acute is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house subacute rehabilitation program. This is an excellent opportunity for a rehabilitation professional who enjoys clinical leadership, team development, and helping patients achieve their highest level of functional independence.
Position Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight of the rehabilitation department.
Supervise and support therapy staff while promoting a collaborative team environment.
Coordinate physical, occupational, and speech therapy services as appropriate.
Ensure quality patient care and effective rehabilitation outcomes.
Monitor productivity, documentation, scheduling, and compliance with applicable regulations.
Collaborate with nursing, administration, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Participate in care planning, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and facility staff.
Support staff recruitment, orientation, training, and ongoing professional development.
Ensure therapy services are delivered in accordance with facility policies and professional standards.
Qualifications
Current clinical license or certification in a rehabilitation discipline as required by state regulations - PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP.
Previous rehabilitation leadership or management experience preferred.
Experience in a skilled nursing, subacute, post-acute, or long-term care setting preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively lead and motivate a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
