Marina Pointe Healthcare and Subacute is seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our therapy department and drive exceptional patient outcomes in Culver City, California. Your Role:

The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for rehabilitation services within the assigned facility or region.  The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and financially sustainable therapy services across physical therapy, occupational therapy, and

speech language pathology disciplines.

Core responsibilities include:

• Providing strategic and operational oversight of all therapy services, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and financial sustainability across Skilled Nursing and Subacute populations.
• Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, mentoring, supervising, and evaluating therapy staff across PT, OT, and SLP disciplines.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring therapy program standards, protocols, and workflows that reflect current evidence-based practice and meet the elevated clinical demands of a Subacute setting.
• Managing scheduling, caseload distribution, and productivity to ensure operational efficiency and quality patient experiences across both care levels.
• Monitoring and managing therapy key performance indicators including productivity, outcomes, patient satisfaction, length of stay, and program performance.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and California skilled nursing and subacute therapy regulations, payer requirements, licensure standards, and accreditation guidelines.
• Overseeing accurate and compliant billing, coding, documentation, and MDS participation in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Serving as the primary clinical liaison between the therapy department and facility administration, communicating program performance, needs, and opportunities clearly and proactively.
• Leading therapy staff meetings, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives.

What You Bring:

• Current, active, and unrestricted professional license in the state of practice. 
• Minimum clinical experience, typically 3–5 years; leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation regulations, reimbursement systems, and operational management.
• Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements established by the applicable state licensing authority.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A collaborative, solution-oriented leadership style
• Composure and professionalism in a fast-paced clinical environment
