Charleston Rehab & Nursing is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) – PT/PTA to lead our therapy department within a skilled nursing facility. This leadership role is ideal for a licensed therapist who enjoys clinical oversight, team development, and creating strong rehab outcomes in a collaborative care setting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department including physical, occupational, and speech therapy services
  • Lead and support therapy staff with scheduling, workflow, productivity, and day-to-day department needs
  • Maintain compliance with Medicare guidelines, PDPM requirements, and facility standards
  • Partner with nursing, physicians, administration, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans
  • Monitor department performance, documentation quality, and clinical outcomes
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, staff development, and performance management

Qualifications:

  • Active PT or PTA license required
  • Skilled nursing experience required
  • Previous rehab leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, PDPM, and rehab documentation standards
