We’re seeking a senior research leader to direct a comprehensive rehabilitation research program within a leading specialty rehabilitation environment. This role combines scientific leadership, research portfolio management, federal grant development, investigator mentorship, and executive-level strategy—with the opportunity to maintain an active research program of your own.

What You’ll Lead:
Establish and execute short- and long-term research strategy and scientific priorities
Oversee a portfolio of rehabilitation and spinal cord injury research programs while maintaining an active research program
Lead and mentor investigators, research staff, and emerging research leaders
Develop major research initiatives and identify funding opportunities, particularly federal research funding
Guide research design, data analysis, scientific dissemination, and publication efforts
What We’re Looking For:
MD or PhD from an accredited institution
Strong national reputation in medical rehabilitation research
7+ years of administrative/research leadership experience as a Program Director, Department Head, Principal Investigator, or comparable role
Demonstrated success obtaining federal research funding
Strong knowledge of funding sources relevant to rehabilitation research
Expertise in research design, data analysis, and scientific publication
Willingness to travel up to approximately 20%
