Position Summary
Continental Springs is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead and oversee the facility's rehabilitation services. The Director will be responsible for coordinating therapy operations, supporting clinical excellence, developing the rehabilitation team, and ensuring patients receive high-quality, individualized care.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department and ensure efficient delivery of therapy services.
- Lead, supervise, and support rehabilitation staff, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, therapy assistants, and support personnel.
- Coordinate therapy schedules and staffing based on patient needs and facility requirements.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, productivity, documentation, and quality of care.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, professional standards, and facility policies.
- Collaborate with nursing, physicians, social services, dietary, administration, and other departments to provide coordinated patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and communicate patient progress and rehabilitation goals.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, training, and performance management of rehabilitation staff.
- Promote evidence-based clinical practices and ongoing professional development.
- Review therapy documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Monitor department performance and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
- Maintain appropriate communication with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with budgeting, staffing, equipment needs, and other administrative responsibilities related to rehabilitation services.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered rehabilitation environment.
Qualifications
- Current professional therapy license in the State of Nebraska in an applicable rehabilitation discipline.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related rehabilitation field.
- Previous rehabilitation management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, long-term care, or inpatient rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation regulations, documentation requirements, and quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Commitment to teamwork, staff development, and patient-centered outcomes.
