Director of Residence Life and Housing

Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Director of Residence Life and Housing. The individual selected must demonstrate a commitment of Christ-centered liberal arts education, Christian service, and the mission of Faulkner University. The successful candidate will provide leadership to ensure a quality Christ-centered living and learning environment for all campus residents and guests. The selected individual must be available to reside on campus. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Summary of Duties:

• Supervise and administer all activities associated with the university's on-campus residence halls and apartments
• Oversee maintenance of dorm and apartment facilities
• Provide assignment of rooms for each academic term
• Oversee housekeeping functions in collaboration with our facilities manager
• Assist resident directors and housing staff (live-in adult supervisors) with student conduct issues occurring in on-campus housing, in collaboration with the Dean of Students
• Select, train, provide professional development opportunities, guide, and supervise all Residence Life staff
• Assign rooms and oversee the move-in process for camp participants during the summer months and occasionally during other semesters
• Oversee and process all operations associated with registration which includes housing selection, meal selection, chapel, and any necessary biographical information including emergency contact
• Demonstrate proficiency in the computer key systems used to secure campus

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2+ years related experience preferred
• Active member of the church of Christ
