Job Description
A hospital in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a senior-level Director of Risk Management. This is an on-site leadership role responsible for overseeing risk management functions within the organization. Partial relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
The role. The Director of Risk Management leads risk management, quality, and medical staff functions, working to identify, evaluate, and mitigate clinical and operational risk across the facility. This position requires close collaboration with nursing, medical staff, and administrative leadership to maintain compliance and support patient safety initiatives. The role reports in-person to the facility and does not require regular travel.
What we're looking for.
- Active RN license in New Mexico or a multistate compact license
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a Director or Manager capacity
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification preferred upon hire and required within 3 years of employment
- Risk management, quality, and medical staff experience required
- Preferred: Prior acute healthcare risk management experience, which may substitute for leadership experience
- Preferred: Experience working in a for-profit hospital setting
- Preferred: Previous Director-level experience
Compensation. $120,000 - $150,000 per year
