We're looking for an experienced Director of Safety who wants to lead from the front, build a proactive safety culture, and develop talent across our operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise will directly protect lives, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement in electrical construction environments.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and manage a robust Safety Management System (SMS) designed specifically for electrical construction.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), and site-specific risk assessments.
- Lead thorough incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA 1926, NFPA 70E, NEC, DOT, EPA, and all applicable regulations.
- Design and deliver high-quality training programs for apprentices, journeymen, foremen, and project managers (including electrical safety, OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, and leadership development).
- Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) to track certifications and training renewals.
- Lead a team of safety coordinators and trainers while mentoring and developing internal talent.
- Perform regular job site audits, safety walks, and inspections across Arizona projects.
- Collaborate with project teams during pre-construction to integrate safety into every plan.
- Analyze safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near-misses) and present actionable insights to leadership.
- Represent the company professionally during regulatory inspections and correspondence.

Location: Tempe, AZ (with travel to job sites and regional offices as needed)

What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of safety and training experience in electrical or construction industries, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and construction safety best practices
- Hands-on experience with energized work, trenching, confined spaces, and elevated work
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective technical and soft-skills training programs
- OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 certifications required - please upload both certificates along with your resume
- OSHA 30 (Construction) and First Aid/CPR Instructor certification required
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CHST, CUSP, or equivalent preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, safety software (e.g., SafetyCulture), and LMS platforms
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
