Director of Sales

This Director of Sales role puts you on the leadership team of an established survey and construction equipment dealer, with real ownership over sales strategy, team development, and the company's next stage of growth.

OUR CLIENT

Our client is an established dealer of survey, construction, and geospatial equipment, serving surveyors, engineers, contractors, utilities, and public agencies across the Northeast. The company partners with a major global equipment manufacturer to sell and support technology that helps customers design, build, and maintain critical infrastructure.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE

• Step into a leadership team seat and help set strategy for a well established name in the survey and construction technology space.
• Own the relationship with the company's primary equipment manufacturer partner through QBRs, product launches, and joint growth planning.
• Build and coach a sales team that's yours to shape, from territory reviews to one on one coaching to talent development.
• Work across Service, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, and Accounting to keep the customer experience sharp from first call through renewal.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Set annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets aligned with the company's strategic plan.
• Manage the sales engine: KPIs, forecasting, CRM discipline, and pipeline reviews.
• Coach the team directly through territory reviews, one on one meetings, and performance evaluations.
• Serve as the primary sales contact with the company's manufacturer partner, representing the business in planning sessions, QBRs, product launches, and dealer initiatives.
• Build and maintain executive relationships with the company's largest customers and strategic accounts.
• Partner with Service, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, and Accounting so customers get a consistent experience across the full lifecycle.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain sales talent, and identify new markets and recurring revenue opportunities.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience.
• A track record leading technical, consultative, or solution based sales teams.
• Experience managing performance through KPIs, forecasting, and CRM systems.
• Strong executive communication, coaching, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with executive customers, manufacturer partners, and internal leadership across multiple office locations.
• Eligibility to work in the US for any employer (sponsorship is not available).

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE

• Direct experience with survey or construction equipment technology.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms used in equipment sales.
• A bachelor's degree in business, construction, engineering, or a related field.
