Title: Director of Sales 

Location: Walnut Creek, CA

Salary: $130K - $160K (DOE) + Bonuses


About the Opportunity

An iconic all suites hotel located in the heart of Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead revenue generation and strategic sales initiatives. This landmark property offers upscale accommodations, dining, and premier meeting and event space, serving both leisure and business travelers from around the world.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the hotel sales team, including hiring and performance management.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Manage rate strategies and inventory in partnership with franchise revenue management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate, group, and local business clients.
  • Oversee hotel marketing initiatives and ensure brand compliance.
  • Represent the hotel at community events, networking functions, and industry meetings.
  • Coordinate group sales, events, and conventions with internal departments.
  • Partner with the General Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and the annual sales and marketing plan.
  • Monitor sales performance, maintain departmental budgets, and achieve revenue goals.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and prepare performance, market, and sales activity reports.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent hospitality industry experience.
  • 4+ years of hotel sales experience, including sales leadership.
  • Proven success in sales strategy, revenue growth, and business development.
  • Experience hiring, training, coaching, and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Ability to develop strong client, community, and team partnerships.
