Director of Sales (TSN West)

The Director of Sales, West is responsible for managing sales efforts, and leading our west based Regional Sales Managers while maintaining/growing sales with our customers in convenience retail, and wholesale distribution.

Candidates must reside in, or within reasonable commuting distance of, one of the following metropolitan areas: Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Salt Lake City, UT or Portland, OR.

Responsibilities:

• Direct people leadership of 2-4 Regional Sales Managers
• Nurture and grow existing business relationships by serving as a strategic adviser to decision makers within our West customer base
• Responsible for leading a culture of continuous development, teamwork, customer focus and strong sales results
• Lead regular team and cross functional meetings to facilitate discussion and the sharing of innovative ideas and best practices related to growing sales revenue and margin
• Collaborate on major account activities with assigned representatives to increase/maintain volume and product penetration
• Responsible for day-to-day sales activity and achievement of revenue goals through the delivery of sales pipelines, forecasts, and pricing
• Deep understanding of the sales processes with the ability to engage the team in setting and achieving sales goals
• Personally manage a small number of key Convenience Retail Chain Accounts
• Flexibility to frequently travel throughout the continental U.S
• Industry trade show, company and customer meeting planning
• Regular participation with team customer meetings, providing support and leadership for team members and customers
• Communicate and coordinate with internal staff (Purchasing, Customer Service, Accounting and Merchandising) to maximize customer satisfaction
• Travel required for periodic mandatory company meetings, to include overnight stays

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelors degree preferred in Business related field
• Proven track record as a sales leader for 5+yrs of delivering high-quality results, including consecutively exceeding past sales goals
• Deep knowledge of the Convenience Store Channel within and experience selling into retail and distributors strongly preferred
• People leadership experience, including the ability to hire, train and develop a high preforming sales team alongside ability to retrain proven sales producers
• Able to multi-task, work, and prioritize based on daily priorities and workload
• Extensive Convenience Channel key account management experience
• A dynamite problem solver and project manager. You're always thinking (at least) one step ahead
• Demonstrated record of achievement throughout selling career
• Strong verbal, negotiating and communication skills. Resilient in the face of tough conversations
• Strong customer-centric, relationship and retention ability
• Ability to foster teamwork with peers in all cross functional departments
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Colorado salary range: $120K-$150K per year based on experience, education and geographic location; annual bonus program
