About the Role:The Director of the Strategic and Tactical Opportunities team is a key member of Latham’s Global Finance team and will play a critical role in expanding the group’s presence across the United States. Working closely with senior internal stakeholders, including firm partners and leadership, as well as clients and other external stakeholders, this individual will manage the U.S.-based team, establish strategic priorities, lead projects, allocate resources effectively, and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture. The role requires strong alignment and partnership with the team’s leadership and colleagues across the global team to drive the successful execution of the group’s objectives.
This position will be based in our New York office and may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement that supports a combination of in-office and remote work. While based in New York, the role has a truly global scope and will involve regular travel to other Latham offices and client locations worldwide.
About the Team
The Strategic and Tactical Opportunities team is a globally integrated function that combines investment and market research, strategic insight, and industry intelligence to help the Firm and its clients identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities. Leveraging expertise from leading financial institutions, consulting firms, and the legal industry, the team provides actionable insights on markets, companies, and transactions. It supports partners and Firm leadership with strategic perspectives that inform growth and positioning, while delivering tailored intelligence to clients across private equity, private credit, special situations, corporate, and sovereign sectors. Through its global reach and multidisciplinary approach, the team provides a distinctive view of the opportunities and trends shaping today's business landscape.
