Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent or designee, the Director of Student Services supervises, coordinates, develops and ensures that the district maintains qualified special education programs and services including psychological services; ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations in providing services for students with disabilities. The Director additionally works closely with the Assistant Superintendent in regards to district curriculum and instruction. The director is a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet.

Requirements / Qualifications

Master s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a related field of study is preferred. Valid California Administrative Services Credential is required. Valid California Special Education Credential is required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of special education and at least three years of increasingly responsible experience demonstrating knowledge of Special education is required. District-level administrative leadership experience is preferred.
