We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain strategy and operations across multiple sites within a growing food and protein manufacturing organization.
This senior leadership role will oversee procurement, commodity sourcing, logistics, freight, demand planning, inventory, and supply chain performance across the company's network. The Director will serve as the primary point of accountability for supply chain cost, service levels, operational performance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy across multiple sites, including procurement, logistics, freight, demand planning, inventory, and production planning.
- Oversee beef/commodity sourcing, procurement, supplier relationships, and risk management, with a focus on cost and margin protection.
- Lead logistics and freight operations, optimizing transportation costs, carrier performance, on-time delivery, and refrigerated/perishable shipments.
- Build and develop the supply chain organization, including managing managers and site-level teams, while establishing standardized processes, systems, and KPIs.
- Partner with Operations, Sales, Finance, Quality, and site leadership to improve forecast accuracy, inventory turns, working capital, service levels, and overall supply chain performance.
- Drive the implementation and scaling of ERP, planning, and spend-visibility systems and serve as the senior escalation point for supply chain issues across the network.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including Director-level or equivalent leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience leading multi-site supply chain operations in a protein and/or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in procurement, beef/commodity sourcing, logistics, and freight, with an understanding of commodity pricing, inventory, working capital, and supply chain economics.
- Demonstrated success building and developing teams, managing managers, and partnering with cross-functional and site-level leaders.
- Experience implementing or scaling ERP, supply chain planning, and spend-visibility systems, with familiarity in perishable/refrigerated supply chains and applicable food safety and regulatory requirements.
