Schedule: MondayFriday | 8-Hour Day Shifts Salary: $95,000$135,000 DOE
Job Summary
Trinity Employment Specialists is seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services for a permanent leadership opportunity in International Falls, Minnesota. This position is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and daily operations of the Surgical Services Department, ensuring exceptional patient care, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility. The Director will oversee multiple service lines while fostering a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement in alignment with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Surgical Services.
Direct daily operations of:
Pre-Operative Services
Operating Room (OR)
Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Central Sterile Processing Department (CSPD)
Orthopedic Outreach Clinic
General Surgery Outreach Clinic
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, accreditation, and licensing requirements.
Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and clinical outcomes.
Manage departmental staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing and surgical services staff.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, anesthesia providers, and hospital leadership to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement process improvements.
Promote a positive, patient-centered culture while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
Qualifications
Required
Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) License
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working within a surgical services department
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
